Best Wedding Tips and advice

How am I going to feel on the biggest day of my life? Your wedding day will be a busy day of fun, joy, excitement and perhaps some stress. Most likely you won’t be able to get enough sleep the night before, so the most important element to make your day near to perfect is your health. Your health has a direct effect in how you would feel. And how you feel on that day makes the world of difference in your experience. So make sure to take extra care of yourself on the big day and read along, because I have so much for you to know.

Have a person in charge of your needs: such as your food and water, makeup touchup and etc. Let’s call her Janet. Janet must carry a bottle of water and a straw along with the makeup touchup kit. Janet has to remind you to eat and drink water as well as breathing properly at all times. Janet must have a small safety kit of hair pins, safety pins, sewing kit along with setting makeup powder, your lip color, mild pain killer, Q-tips, paper tissue and according to your calendar she may have to carry some tampons. Hey, you never know! Janet should keep her eyes on you the whole time to make sure all your commands and needs are provided. She can not leave your site she is your support, strength and your true friend to take you through the day. Isn’t that fun!

Bridal shoes: Dear bride, try to have a second pair of very comfortable shoes handy on your big day, or just have a few different pairs of shoes and change every few hours because changing your shoes a couple times during the whole day helps to keep your feet less stressed.

Is it OK for the bridal to have facials ahead of time? My answers is yes, but do it way ahead of time and do your spa and message at least 2 or 3 days prior to your event, so you are not sore and in pain on your big day. Also, do your facial a month or even more ahead of your big day, only if it is your first time of course, if not at least a week ahead of time because you never know how your skin may act up after a facial. Some people may experience acne or redness after their facial. It is also a good idea to avoid using any new skin care products near to your wedding date. Don’t forget that a little extra precaution is always good to keep things in tact.

No drinking the night before: Drinking normally causes skin flakiness and inflammations as well as emotional irritations the day after, So just because you are a little nervous the night before, doesn’t mean you should drink heavily. If it helps you just do it moderately and I mean it in a reasonable sense. I have seen many brides suffering from hangovers and mood swings as well as headaches and dehydrations on the day of event, all because of drinking the night before. So manage to get a good sleep without getting “smashed.”

What happens to my makeup if I cry? Number one rule is that you should not cry. You are going to purchase a makeup and I don’t think crying is going to help it. Number two, stay away from anybody who is crying since looking at a crying person makes a lot of people cry. Let everyone know that this is a wedding not a “cry competition.” So then if they wish to cry please try to do it in private. Now let say if you did shed a few drops, then what? So try to catch the tears before it gets to the crease of your eyes. Raise your eyebrows and wide open your eyes and keep some tissue handy to hold over your tear glances. I know, it sounds funny but there is no other way to it. Here are some tips. Have a little thank- you or goodbye speech the day before with your parents or your love ones. Make yourself really cry. Let’s call it a cry-party. This helps to reduce the tear presser of your eyes. Here is another one - do not have your bacheloreete party to close to the night of your event. You need to get a good sleep the night before.

Water proof makeup verses water resistance makeup? The difference between the two is: that water resistant makeup only resists water and body perspirations. It is less durable, but easier to remove when needed to be removed and in most time removable with a general remover. It is recommended for everyday use. For example, if you use water-proof mascara every day, and try to remove it every night perhaps after one month you have no lashes left since it is very difficult to get it dissolved and removed. It is not recommended for everyday use. Water proof makeup is not really water proof all the time. This term is used to tell you that the makeup is more resistance to water. Perhaps you need to have a cream base cleanser to remove it. It is recommended to be used for occasions. And please remember that regardless of its resistance the makeup is not tattooed to the skin it is still fragile and will be removed if you touch your face and get careless with it.

Watch out for family conflicts: The most common thing that happens around your big day is family conflicts. One thing you must keep in mind is that it is the once-in-a-lifetime event that is absolutely yours. You are the bride; therefore you should decide and make the final decision. Believe me you will thank me later for this advise. So be assertive and don’t let others talk or guilt you in to making their fantasies come true in your wedding, because this one day absolutely belongs to you my dear.

Your perfect picture: It is a good idea to take at least about 20 to 30 portrait pictures of yourself before the ceremony starts. This is when your hair and makeup is still fresh and you are not as “tired.” Besides, it takes a minimum of that many pictures in order to get 2 or 3 final pictures that are looking pleasing in every way. Even models have a low percentage of having useable pictures in their set of one hundred photos. So the more you portrait yourself the better chance you have to see the perfect picture that will make it to the frame. Remember you are paying, so you can always ask for what you want and how you want it done.

Is air brush makeup recommended for brides? When it comes to weddings, I put so much extra care, because it is an once-in-a-lifetime event. So, I use the best product and the proper application to avoid any risks of skin rash caused by strange chemicals may be in some products. I also make sure that my safe products can also create a fantastic flawless look up-close as well as on the print and film. My recommendation for the bridal makeup is a line of professional products that are safe, flash proof, stay-on and manually brushed or sponged on the skin. As far as airbrush makeup goes, I only recommend a certain type of canned air brush makeup which I use in some occasions. I do not recommend any air-injector airbrush makeup for a bridal application. In my opinion and experience it looks heavy on the face, the products are risky (skin rash) and it does not hold as well as some other products. Just because it is called airbrush makeup, doesn’t mean it creates an air brushed and flawless look.

Don’t forget that it is ok to get a little bratty since it is your special day and you are the princess, so be prepared, have fun and remain calm and enjoy the most special day of your life...
