Religious Tattoos

Religious tattoos have been around for centuries and have been quite controversial because a lot of religions look down on tattoos, saying that if you mark your body with un pure things that you become un pure as well. If you are deciding on getting a religious tattoo, it is wise to do some history and research on the particular religion and the meaning behind the image or scripture that you decide to plant on your body.

Some religious tattoos such as an angel are harmless, because most people know that angels are supposed to protect human kind. However other tattoos like crucifixes should be examined and research, because some religions are against wearing crosses and crucifixes especially if they have an image of Jesus on the cross.

There are a variety of religious tattoos, and most likely one would belong to a particular religion if they were deciding to get a religious tattoo. However it is not required to belong to any particular religion if you want to get a religious tattoo. Some people get religious tattoos, because they just look nice.
