Makeup That Goes with Red Hair

Red hair look great if the women carrying them know how to flaunt them. Some people have natural red hair and some get red hair color. Natural redheads are generally fair skin toned. Even though searching for make up for fair skinned people is much easier as compared to medium and dark skin tone, it is the color of hair which could create trouble. One can not just pick any lip paint color or blush on as not much colors go with the red. Wrong shades in make up could decrease the beauty of red color. So if you are a redhead who is confused over makeup shade selection, here is what you can do.

Blush on and base makeup that goes with red hair

The basic thing that has to be kept in mind before buying make up is to know the shades that suit fair skin. After short listing those, come to the consideration of hair color. The colors that you must avoid completely are purple, chocolate brown, black, red and baby pink. Do not own any cosmetic of this shade be it lipstick, eye shadow or blush. Natural red heads must try basic blush ons. The shades that could be tried are deep pink, orange and cherry red which looks much similar to pink. For the base, keep the foundation minimal as too much of base makeup gives a fake look. Try to bear with marks or freckles, if any, because hiding them with concealer could make the makeup heavy which does not suit women with red hair.

Makeup That Goes with Red Hair

The eye and lips section is a bit tough to manage because this is where the real imagination of matching is needed.

For redheads, dramatic colors do not suit much. So stay away from green, dark blues and also smoky eye makeup is a big no-no! Stick to basic colors like pinks, cherry red, nude shades, etc for the lipstick and try to match the lip paint shade with that of blush on. Then for eyes, you can try to wear light browns, pinks and magenta.

Sometimes cat eye could also suit redheads but with that, try not to wear any eye shadow as the look seems over dramatic then. Point is, when you have red hair color, you have to be very careful of the color.

Do not experiment much unless you are really sure. So this how you can choose shades in makeup when you have red colored hair.
