What Makeup to Use with a Red Prom Dress?

If you have planned to wear a beautiful red prom dress but you are unable to decide as to what make up to use with your red prom then do not worry much about it. It might seem tough and challenging but it is not a difficult job at all and you can surely end up looking beautiful with some simple make up tips be reading on below. While going for a make up that matches with your red prom you must first see where you are wearing it and what kind of look would you be sporting. If you plan to sport a soft look then the color combinations would be different and if you plan to throw an amazing look then the colors will differ.

So lets us see what all colors can you play and blend with to achieve that perfect look on your face. One make up rule that you must follow is that if you are making up your eyes then lip make up should be kept minimum and vice versa. And when it is about doing make up with a prom dress then it is always better to highlight your eyes well.

Here is what makeup to use with a red prom dress and how:

Wash off your face with a mild cleanser and use a good moisturizer all over. Apply concealer with your fingertips on the areas from where your face needs to covered and ensure that the concealer is always one shade lighter than your actual skin tone. Follow up with foundation in thin layer of your skin color and apply it evenly. Now apply loose powder on the face and dab off the excess with a cotton ball.

Red Prom Dress Makeup

Eyes - Apply an eyebrow pencil if your eyebrows are thin. Since your dress is red and it is a prom night, go for an eye shadow in pale color if you prefer a soft and natural look. For a bold look, you can go for a smoky effect using colors like black, charcoal and dark gray. Green and red is another great combination.

Lips - Try rosy pink color or nude shade in a pale tone for lip paint. Complete the makeup with a shining gloss. Avoid colors like orange or brown with red dress. For cool toned girls, red lipstick with blue tone looks classy and that for warm complexion, red with orange touch looks great.

This is how you can do make up in a perfect way with that red prom on.
