What Kind of Makeup Goes with a Yellow Prom Dress?

Planning to wear a yellow prom dress but confused about the type of make up and the right cosmetics that will go along well with your beautiful yellow dress? If yes, then read on to know the answer. Well, we all know that yellow is a very bright color and so it would also make you appear bright in the crowd. So, the make up that you do with your yellow prom dress should be done with proper care and intelligence and right sense. Obviously you would not go for an all yellow look on your face if your dress is yellow. Right? So choosing the right colors is the main task.

Makeup Tips for Yellow Prom Dress

Make up with a yellow prom dress has to be lightweight, fresh and should appear natural. So, use one shade light concelaer and cover up all the blemishes and scars using your fingertips and a concelaer brush. Foundation has to be exactly of the same color as we want a natural look and so it should mix well with your skin color and do not use excess of it. Use a bronzer only if you wish too as the color of the dress and make up would itself enhance the glow on your face.

Makeup with Yellow Prom Dress

Use a good natural blush in colors like brown pink, orange etc and apply it on the cheekbones. You can try out Bobbi Brown and Chanel blush, as they are known to be the best.

For eyes, a brown or a black eye liner would work wonders with your yellow dress. For eye shadow, you can try out different colors. If your choice is dark colors then go for sheer shades. Other thing to keep in mind is the shade of yellow that are you wearing. If the dress is a dark yellow one then go for dark brown and black and get a subtle type look. If the dress is light colored one then try out lavender, greens and peach. Try out yellow and white shades in shimmer if it matches your taste.

For lips, peach and orange is the best choice. You can go for both glossy as well as matte look for the lips.

Pat off the extra with a tissue or a blotting paper and keep your translucent powder handy. In the end, just tie up your hair well and if you are letting them loose then style them well.
