Indoor Tanning Phenomenon

Indoor tanning phenomenon has been adopted by people as one of their regular beauty regimen. People spend hours under the sun to get golden brown body which as a matter of fact, looks attractive. However, busy people have their own ways and due to advanced technologies, people have been more inclined to indoor tanning treatment than getting tanned naturally. This treatment gives body an unbeatable glow and makes your skin shade darker than before.

The process of indoor tanning

In this phenomenon, a tanning device is used which emits UVA light sources over the body. Normally a tanning bed is used to let the costumer be relaxed all through the process. It depends how much you wish to get tanned and the amount of spray would be used accordingly. The professionals in salon would suggest you the appropriate time for exposure.

Age is an essential factor in this phenomenon as adults are less susceptible to burns caused the tanning device. So one must think twice before getting indoor tanning done if he/ she is in adolescence. Person at this age is likely to develop skin problems after getting this phenomenon

Indoor tanning according to various skin types

Different skin types are categorized so that people could know if they should go for indoor tanning phenomenon.

People with bright skin, red hair, freckles and light eyes must avoid it. Beige skin tone with light eyes and brown hair could get occasional burns on skin. If instead of light eyes, you have brown eyes then also you are susceptible to occasional burn.

Light brown skin with dark brown hair and eyes can tan outdoors with quite an ease and can get burns. However, people with black skin, black eyes and hair can hardly get burns.

So if you have decided to get it done, be cautious of some facts. While getting indoor tanning done, one must pay special attention to delicate areas, especially eyes. This is because if the rays enter eye, they can cause damage to cornea by causing sunburn. It could lead to cataracts and abnormal tissue growth as well. Diabetic people must avoid indoor tanning.

Even those people who are susceptible to the cold sores must avoid it as the action of UVA rays may cause problems in skin. Other than that, there are chances that your immune system could get damaged or premature ageing could happen as well. However, there is no doubt that this phenomenon has won hearts of many. Even famous celebs opt for it and you can definitely get an attractive tan without doing much.
