How to Find the Right Lipstick?

Lips paint is essential to give face a well defined look. However, many women mess up while choosing lipstick because of which the entire face look gets ruined when they put the lipstick on. So if you are wondering how to find the right lipstick, all you need to do it to understand the colors that suit your skin tone. Never pick shades that seem to be good by the look of eye. Instead, try to understand your skin tone and then choose colors.

Basic for how to find a right lipstick

The basic thing to do while choosing lipstick is to choose the one which has shade two times darker to that of your lips. This may sound new to you but the fact is that lip color should always be darker than the actual lip color. Do not ever think that if a shade suits your friend, it would look good on you as well. Even if it would, check! Apply a bit of it over your lip or hand and see if it goes with skin tone. If it looks ugly on either of these, just drop the idea of buying it.

How to find right lipstick shade according to different skin tones

As for shades, fair skinned people can do a lot of experimentations as almost every shade suits fair skin tone. The best ones are naturals like pinks, peaches and soft reds. Even orange or browns looks good on fair skin. You can even try medium tones with rich colors like deep red, deep pink or every caramel. Some people are afraid to buy red. Fact is, it is the shade of red which is required to be chosen correctly.

Fair and pink skinned women should wear cherry red, olive skinned people can go for fire-engine reddish shade and for the dark skin tone, deep red looks the best.

Try to keep the lip color much similar to that of outfit and eye color. Avoid wine or plum shade if you have medium skin tone. It is suited best to dark skin tone.

Be careful of the brown shade as it does not look good on everybody. Fair skinned people can try to experiment with this color but otherwise, keep it basic brown.

Time also matters when it comes to lip paint. During the daytime, choose light shades and for evening/ night, go for dark shades.

Lipstick with matte finish look good during the daytime while glossy lipstick makes the evening look smashing.

So this is how one can choose the lipsticks. Next time you go for lipstick shopping, try to keep these points in mind.
