Urban hairstyles are often those styles that are considered to be on the cutting edge of hair fashion. These are the popular styles you will see displayed on the covers of magazines. Urban hairstyles are also those worn by celebrities. They can be seen on both the big screen and the small screen.
Although most urban hairstyles originate in metropolitan areas, they aren't only worn there. It is common to see these styles on the main streets of small towns throughout the country. As women see these great styles, they begin to adopt them. For this reason, hairstyles across the country are perfecting many of these urban hairstyles.
One of the styles, which have spread quickly, is the emo style. There are a number of ways to achieve this trendy style. Most often it is displayed with an exaggerated bang swept across the forehead. The rest of the hair is then arranged in a punk spiked style. Teens and young adults are sporting this modern urban style.
Another one of the current urban hairstyles is the pixie cut. Some are wearing this with extremely short hair. Others are combining hairstyles to achieve their pixie. They are crossing a pixie with a fade type bob. These are smart urban hairstyles that have individual touches of the wearer's personality.
Pixies are commonly worn with a nice bang addition. It can be a short tapered style. Some bangs are actually longer than others. These styles are mostly layered in a neat fashion on the side of the face.
