French Braids

French braids have long been considered some of the most elegant hairstyles. They are often worn for formal engagements. These days they are also work casually. The history of this specific hairstyle is very colorful. It came here with early pioneers and has not lost popularity after all of these years.

The look itself is often varied and worn in different settings. In early pioneer days, French braids were a necessary way to wear your hair. It wasn't practical to have long hair flowing freely with all of the hardships of that life. Almost all women during that time period, had extremely long hair. So, at the beginning of the work day it was common for many women to style their hair this way.

Although the look achieved was elegant, it didn't hold an elegant purpose then. Later decades made this a more ethnic style, and many women didn't wear it. Today, women of all different ethnic groups wear this style called French braids. It is worn both formally and casually. Some women even incorporate fancy pins and clips into their style.

French braids hairstyles today are not done because of utility. It's totally considered a pleasure style. The young and the old wear French braids. A casual way to modify this style is by using two braids instead of the tradition middle one. With two on each style, you will create a fun style. This fits well with jeans and a T-shirt.
