Hcg Diet
HCG is being used as a dietary approach for many people. This is one of the popular diets that are not well known. Although this diet was pioneered in the 50's, it met its popularity in 2000. The diet itself is name after its primary component. The HCG Diet is named after Human Choriogonadotropin. This is a hormone that is produced in pregnant women during the first stages of pregnancy.
HCG can be found in a variety of products. It can be taken in liquid form, injections, or through oral options. The dosage required for weight loss is 125 IU to 200 IU. Taking this portion of HCG could result in as much as 1-2 pounds of weight loss per day. This success rate makes this one of the great diet options available.
Some say that even more weight can be lost with this diet. If it is combined with exercise and a 500 calorie per day diet, more pounds can be shed. This approach was introduced by the diet's original creator. It has also been made popular by new promoter of HCG, Kevin Trudeau. Trudeau applies four individual phases to the HCG Diet.
Here is his approach to Hcg weight loss program:
Hcg Diet - Phase 1
Along with HCG, dieters are encouraged to eat apples and breadfruit. They can also include HCG supplements and water in this phase. Physical exercise is also important in this phase. This is a critical component to almost any diet plans.
Hcg Diet - Phase 2
The second phase of the HCG Diet is composed of a three day time period. During these days they are allowed to gorge themselves. After eating until you heart is content, you will be expected to maintain the 500 calorie per day diet.
Hcg Diet - Phase 3
The third phase of this diet is about three weeks long. Dieters are then able to eat a normal healthy diet. This is a diet that incorporates nutritional choices. No sugar or artificial sweeteners are allowed. You will not be allowed to consume fast food or trans-fats during the third phase of the HCG Diet. Drinks are also limited during this phase. Cold drinks are rarely permitted here.
Hcg Diet - Phase 4
If you have reached this phase of the diet, you have been successful. At this phase, dieters have learned a number of valuable skills. They will most likely have met their weight goals for this diet. The diet will have taught healthy habits and healthy relationships with food.
