Bumps at Top of Arms, keratosis Pilaris Skin Problem Treatment

Very unusually, I am relieved when the summer is over. This is because embarrassing and unsightly bumps at the top of my arms mean I cannot wear sleveless top. I am quite fair skinned and bumps look alarmingly obvious. Is there anything I can do before next summer to treat this skin problem so that I don't have to keep my arms under wraps again?
You do not have to have perfect arms in order to enjoy wearing a sleveless top. You probably have a very common skin condition called Keratosis Pilaris, which tends to run in families. There is no cure for it and it does not have any sinister implications. It is just a cosmetic problem. It causes tiny rough spots on the outer part of the arms and thighs. This skin problem affects teenagers and tends to become less as you go older. The skin spots may look red and rough but rarely itch and never hurts or become cancerous. Try using moisturising cream example Dipro base twice a day. Rub your arms with the pumice stone or loofah when showering and consider getting a prescription for Tretinoion cream or gel. For first few weeks of treatment this may cause redness or peeling off skin but bumps may flatten out nicely.
